Casey and Robert’s Christ centered wedding at The Hillside Estate in Dallas was the kind of day that reminds me why I love what I do. From our very first phone call, Casey shared her heart so openly—how she and Robert wanted their wedding to be a reflection of Jesus, a celebration of covenant, and a promise built on oneness. I felt so connected to their story from the start, and working with them through every step of the planning process only deepened that. Their wedding day was elegant, elevated, and beautifully intentional, filled with soft blues, lush greens, and florals that brought the entire space to life. And The Hillside Estate? Truly one of my favorite Dallas wedding venues to photograph—classic, bright, and the perfect canvas for a couple as kind and genuine as the Monroys.

One of the things I loved most about working with Casey was her heart for documentary-style photography. She didn’t want anything that felt stiff or overly posed, she wanted images that felt like time was standing still… the kind of photos where you can almost hear the laughter, feel the warmth in the room, and remember exactly what the moment felt like. Her vision was simple and beautiful: romantic, genuine, and honest. She wanted her gallery to reflect the real emotions of the day, not a curated version of them. And that’s exactly the kind of storytelling I love to lean into!

Casey is truly one of the most thoughtful brides I’ve ever worked with. Every conversation, every email, every detail she planned carried this softness and intention that made serving her feel so natural. But what shaped her gallery the most wasn’t the florals, the timeline, or even the elegance of The Hillside Estate—it was the trust she and Robert gave me.
Real documentary style wedding photography can only shine when there’s room to breathe, to observe, and to feel the day right alongside you. That only happens when a couple fully trusts their wedding photographer. Casey and Robert did exactly that. Their trust gave me the freedom to create honestly. To let the emotions, the pauses, the tears, and the warmth take the lead. Their images reflect the heart of their day because they allowed me to be present enough to see it!

Every time I photograph a wedding, I’m reminded how sacred it is to witness the small, quiet moments—the ones you might not even notice in the rush of the day, but that become the memories you treasure most. The way a groom’s eyes soften when he sees his bride. The deep breath a mother takes before buttoning up her daughter’s dress. The joy that fills a room long before vows are spoken. These are the moments that drew me to documenting love stories in the first place, and they’re the ones I feel honored to preserve for every couple I serve.
If you’re dreaming of a wedding gallery that feels authentic, emotional, and rooted in the real, faith-filled moments of your day, I would be so honored to tell your story.
