If you’re looking for unique engagement photo ideas in Dallas, take a look at this airplane photoshoot! Nick and Jessica work in aviation sales, so it only made sense to plan their engagement photos around something that’s such a big part of their lives and how they met.
We photographed their session at a private airport in Dallas, and the whole evening felt so personal, fun, and classy. They’re also getting married at Frontiers of Flight Museum, so incorporating aviation into their engagement photos felt like the perfect fit. I loved getting to capture photos that reflected who they are as a couple in such a creative way!

My favorite part of this photoshoot was taking photos by the private jet! It elevated the entire shoot and tied in their love for aviation in the best way.
I love how their engagement photos came to life and beautifully reflected such a personal part of their relationship. The private jet made the photos feel polished and editorial, but Nick and Jessica still brought so much joy and personality to the session.
I can’t wait to capture more airplane engagement photos like this!

When planning your airplane photoshoot, the best photos are the ones that still feel natural and candid. A unique location can make your photos stand out, but the real magic happens when you’re having fun together and letting your personalities show.
Here are a few airplane photoshoot ideas to inspire you:

Unique engagement photos don’t have to be over-the-top. They should feel like an extension of your relationship and your love story.
For Nick and Jessica, aviation made perfect sense. It’s part of how they met, part of their everyday lives, and even part of their wedding day since they’re getting married at an aviation museum. Their engagement photos weren’t unique just to be different. They were unique because they were personal.
For another couple, that could look like taking photos at your favorite restaurant, a downtown spot you love, family land, a bookstore, a boat, a museum, or your favorite date-night location. Whatever it is, the goal is to choose something that feels like you. That’s what makes your engagement photos feel way more meaningful than just choosing a cool location for the sake of it.

If you’re dreaming of your own airplane photoshoot, there are a few things to think through before you show up looking cute next to a plane.
First things first, make sure you have permission to take photos at the location. Airports, hangars, museums, and aviation spaces may have specific rules and permits, so it’s always best to ask ahead of time.
Now for outfits, this is definitely the kind of location where you can dress it up a little! A private jet or airport already makes a statement, so your outfits should feel intentional too. Think polished and chic.
And while props can be fun, don’t overdo it. The airplane, private jet, or airport setting is already doing a lot of the heavy lifting. The goal is to let the location add to your story without making the photos feel too staged.
Most importantly, work with a photographer who can help make a unique location feel natural. I’ll help guide you with little prompts so your photos still feel relaxed and candid.
