Day and Lexi’s winter proposal at The Harbor in Rockwall, Texas, could not have been more thoughtful and heartfelt. With the water and lighthouse as the backdrop, paired with Day’s elegant setup, this proposal was nothing short of dreamy and intimate. Lexi actually introduced The Harbor to Day on their very first date! Any way you can bring a sentimental touch to your proposal will make the day all the more special for your fiancée!
Planning a Romantic Proposal at The Harbor in Rockwall
I was so excited to meet up with Day and plan the perfect spot for him to pop the question at The Harbor. We chose a grassy area by the lake with the lighthouse directly behind! Day’s love for Lexi was so evident throughout his thoughtful planning. He laid out a crisp white blanket lined with vases of white roses and candles (what a true romantic!). He even brought his best friends along to help with the setup and to make sure everything was flawless. I love how their friends were there to share the joy of this precious moment!
When Lexi arrived, her smile was so bright and contagious. She was completely surprised! Day’s tears made the moment all the more special, and he even read the most precious letter before getting on one knee. Their laughter and pure joy were so beautiful! I’ll never forget this sweet proposal, and I’m so excited to capture more heartfelt moments like this in the future. I can’t believe this is my job — someone pinch me!

Not only is The Harbor a gorgeous location for a proposal, but it also makes for the dreamiest engagement photos, too! During this December photoshoot, the leaves were changing, leaving us with lovely fall tones. It’s a stunning location year-round, and I absolutely recommend it to couples who are planning a proposal or engagement session in DFW!
